Education
Margreet studied at ‘Artibus’, the Academy of Fine Arts in Utrecht, the Netherlands. She completed this five-year program successfully.
After this she followed the four-year course in Fashion Design and Printing fabric and paper and subsequently gained a teaching degree for artists at the Free Academy in The Hague, the Netherlands. At the Teacher Training in Delft Margreet obtained a first degree in teaching all drawing and painting techniques and all textile techniques.
Prizes
Over the years, the appreciation for Margreet’s work has repeatedly been affirmed officially. In 1992 Margreet received the first prize in a contest issued by the Dutch Government in the category Landscape Art. Part of that prize was realizing a project for the National Government.
In 1994, as winning artist in a contest in the category Landscape Objects Margreet was granted an assignment to design and shape a landscape object in collaboration with creative therapists and mentally handicapped people.

- 1978: Gallery "De Afstap" in Amsterdam, paintings (solo)
- 1981-1982: Art Director Poetry International in Rotterdam for two exhibitions of drawings produced by international artists
- 1983: Exhibition at the headquarters of the feminist magazine "Opzij" in Amsterdam
- 1985-1986: Organizer and teacher of painting and drawing classes in Italy, drawings and paintings exhibition in the Jerusalem Chapel (solo)
- 1992: Landscape Project commissioned by the Dutch Government 1992-1993: Exhibition of natural three-dimensional works of art and natural organic objects in the Province House in The Hague (solo) 1993-2001: Lecturer at the Free Anthroposophical School "Het Marecollege’ in Leiden
- 1987-1998: Organizer and teacher Summer University: Art holidays in Italy, exhibitions in Florence and Siena (Italy). These exhibitions were held in collaboration with the artists Anna Allighieri and Augusto Clemente 1997: Exhibition at the town hall in Quintra, Portugal (solo) 1998: Exhibition at the museum in Coruche, Portugal, in collaboration with artist Joaquin Penereiro
- 1999-2001: Summer School: workshops and private lessons for foreigners in Portugal
- 2004: Exhibition of paintings and drawings in collaboration with artist Maria Geschiere, known for her magnificent clay objects
- 2004: Art exchange Sweden: exhibition in the Väsby Könnsthal, Stockholm, along with nineteen other Dutch artists
- 2005: Assignment of Greenpeace Europe (headquarters in Brussels, Belgium) to design postcards with an animal theme
- 2006: Exhibition in cooperation with the Slovenian artist Olga Bartkova at the Museum of Arts in Gouda.

Teaching Experience
Margreet provided art education at the Free University in Leiden, the Netherlands for more than thirty years. She taught drawing and painting techniques and conducted special classes in techniques such as watercolour, acrylic painting, painting materials, oil painting techniques, monotypes and block print. Margreet also taught design and drawing techniques, using the personal computer.
